Muddy Waters Rides Again!

Every year, Habitat Manitoba's Muddy Waters cycling event offers a variety of rides for a wide range of skill levels. Participants have the choice to enjoy a casual 5 km ride, a beginner 20 km ride, an enthusiast's 60 km route, a 100 km challenge, or brave the 100 miles route with fellow serious cyclists. No matter the choice, all participants show us just how far they'd go to support Habitat for Humanity Manitoba, and the 2013 Muddy Waters cyclists did just that!

On Sunday, August 11th, 260 cyclists were up bright and early at Kildonan Park to cycle in their chosen Muddy Waters ride. Families, friends, and solo riders hit the road at staggered start times, allowing them to finish their routes just in time to enjoy an afternoon lunch in the park together. The riders replenished with plenty of food and drink and even had an opportunity to grab a free massage from the good folks of Fusion Health and Wellness to work out the kinks and sore muscles.

The top five fundraisers included: Brian Born, Jonathan Kleinsasser, Chris Gauthier, Sherryl Koop, and Ben Larsson.

Congratulations and thank you to all the Muddy Waters cyclists who went the distance for Habitat for Humanity Manitoba. The event was a great success!

Muddy Waters would also like to extend a special thank you to our Safety Sponsor Manitoba Public Insurance, Partner Crosier Kilgour & Partners Ltd., and Contributing Sponsors Bikes & Beyond and Olympia Cycle & Ski (Portage Avenue)
