Habitat for Humanity Winnipeg is fortunate to be a part of such a caring and involved community. Many organizations and individuals support us by becoming sponsors, making donations (cash, publicly traded stocks, bequests, ReStore materials), volunteering their time, and participating in or attending our special events. Habitat for Humanity Winnipeg greatly appreciates everyone who has helped us positively transform lives, neighborhoods, and our community.
Helping Habitat can take many forms. The following outlines creative ways for you or your organization to help Habitat for Humanity Winnipeg build safe, decent, and affordable homes for low-income working families to purchase in our community.
Women Build needs your help! As an individual or team, collect donations online to help us reach our minimum goal of $100,000 to build a home for Cynthia and her family. With our easy to use on-line fundraising tool, customize a fundraising home page and email it to family and friends.
Because profits generated from the Habitat for Humanity ReStore cover the administrative overhead of Habitat for Humanity Winnipeg, 100% of your fundraising or donations go directly towards building new Habitat homes.
Group Adopt-a-Day Challenge
Do you have a group that would like to join together to participate on a build? Think about your family and friends, members of your congregation, your department from work, or associates from a professional association, or not-for-profit community group. An Adopt-a-Day allows your group (no prior construction experience required, minimum 16 years of age) to spend a day together building a home for a family in need. It is an incredible team-building experience that is sure to make your team members feel a sense of pride for your build accomplishments, and for helping your community.
